For proper nutrition, it would seem that butter is an unacceptable product. But what do nutritionists say about its dangers and benefits? Indeed, butter has a high calorie content - 600 kcal or more per 100 grams, so even fifty grams per day will already make up a third of the diet for many losing weight.
But such a volume is not recommended by nutritionists for use. Fifty grams a week is the best option. The main advantages of the oil are its natural origin and enrichment with numerous useful microelements and vitamins.
Animal fats are necessary for a person to maintain the natural elasticity of the skin, tendons. Also, fats are necessary for the renewal of skin cells and other organs. If there is a lack of fat in the diet, the result will be numerous problems with both appearance - brittle hair and nails, peeling of the skin. In general, the integument will become drier, and the hair may lose shine. It must be remembered that the participation of animal fats in the regeneration and renewal of the body is indispensable in case of weight loss, because it is during this period that the skin is constantly updated and tightened following the decreasing volume of the body, which loses its fat layer.
Without the use of oil in the diet and using high rates of weight loss, you run the risk of acquiring the so-called "shar pei" skin, which can be removed either by expensive hardware methods, or even by a surgical operation. And since you probably don’t want to try this on your own, believe the experts who do not recommend lowering the fat content of the diet below 25 grams.
You can correctly calculate the required calorie content using the calorie counter, the convenience of which is, first of all, that you can calculate your menu and see how the calorie content changes when replacing one dish with another and choose the best option for a combination of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.
As you can see, although butter is not the “best friend” of proper nutrition, it cannot be called an absolute enemy either. As with everything, a measure is needed here in order to get the maximum benefit from this product and reduce possible harm to the figure, do not get carried away with this natural product.
And lastly, naturalness is also an important quality that butter must have - it must be made exclusively from cream and the percentage of fat in this case is not lower than 85 percent. If there are other data on the packaging and the oil has a low fat content, it may be prepared using vegetable fats, in which case it is better to forget about the benefits.

Here are a few simple tips to help you eat deliciously and move briskly at the same time.
Tip #1: Choose the “Right” Vegetable Oil
olive oil is good for both joints and blood vessels
If you haven't yet replaced regular vegetable oil and animal fat with olive oil, you should do so now. Constant pain, stiffness of movements, decreased performance and even disability are the consequences of joint diseases. Joint medicines can cause stomach bleeding, liver, kidney and cardiovascular problems. To help the joints and not harm the body, vegetable oils are needed. Olive oil is included in diets to nourish the joints, does not cause side effects and has a beneficial effect on the entire body.
Composition of olive oil
Olive oil contains the following beneficial substances:
- Fatty acid: oleic (Omega - 9), linoleic (Omega - 6), palm and stearic. Fatty acids improve blood circulation, contribute to the normal nutrition of cartilage and slow down the aging of the joint.
- Flavonoids. The role of flavonoids is the regulation of the functions of the digestive tract. The digestive tract absorbs vitamins and minerals needed to nourish the joints.
- Vitamin E. By regulating the hormonal background, vitamin E prevents the leaching of calcium from the bones.
- Calcium. Needed to strengthen bones, teeth and nails.
- Vitamin D. Helps the absorption of calcium.
- Polyphenols. These are the strongest antioxidants.
- Chromium. Reduces the risk of obesity. And obesity is the main factor in the occurrence of joint diseases.

- Phenolic compounds. These are the strongest antioxidants and antihypoxants. They improve the saturation of the body with oxygen. Oleocanthal is a substance that has the effect of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs: it anesthetizes and relieves inflammation in diseases of the joints.
How it works on joints
With daily use, the level of osteocalcin protein in the body increases. Osteocalcin is responsible for bone strength. Decreased levels can lead to increased bone fragility (osteoporosis) and an increased risk of fractures.
The benefit to the joints lies in the ability:
- reduce pain;
- reduce the intensity of inflammation;
- improve joint mobility;
- raise muscle tone (muscles support the joint, protect it from early aging);
- prevent osteoporosis (especially necessary for women during menopause, when estrogen production decreases and bone fragility increases);
- slow down the "aging" of the joint by supporting strong muscles and normal blood circulation.

What is harmful sunflower oil- or the most common fat on which most people (and not only) cook and season salads.
Do you still cook and season salads with sunflower oil? Then this post is definitely for you!
Well, seriously, I dedicate this post separately to the most common product in the kitchen of most people (not mine). And there is a special reason for this. I already wrote about the dangers of vegetable oils, where a large number of people argued with me that, for example, olive and coconut oil are also vegetable.
So I decided to write a post separately about Sunflower oil and tell you why you can’t take everything vegetable as healthy and why it’s better to completely abandon its use.
Here is another bottle of Sunflower oil in your kitchen, on which you cook your food. And you probably think that this is the most useful oil! But you are deeply mistaken, because Sunflower oil is:
Unstable fat
Sunflower oil consists mainly of polyunsaturated fat, which due to its chemical structure is very unstable and quickly oxidatively oxidized. What does it mean? The fact that even without heating, free radicals begin to form in sunflower oil, accelerating the aging of our body and causing the development of numerous chronic diseases. In addition, oxidized molecules of polyunsaturated fat have the ability to accumulate in cell membranes, triggering a chain of destructive oxidative reactions.
Contains a large amount of Omega-6
Not all omega fatty acids are equally beneficial to us. Especially in large quantities. Our body needs balance. A normal healthy balance of k should ideally be 1:1 or at worst 1:4. And if you constantly use sunflower oil every day, what kind of balance can we talk about? 1:24? Or even more? What does excessive use of Omega-6 shine for us? Well, at least chronic inflammation or the number 1 cause of chronic disease. Have you been told that Sunflower oil is better for your heart and blood vessels? No matter how! It is this oil that leads to the deposition of cholesterol (note oxidized) on the walls of our blood vessels, leading to their blockage, and there is already a heart attack and stroke.
Oil production method
Unfortunately, I could not find a video of obtaining Sunflower oil, but the process of obtaining its brother - Rapeseed or Canola oil (another toxic and such a popular oil in America and Canada) has long been covered in a popular American program. You can read a detailed post describing the process of obtaining vegetable oils and watch the video there. I will say right away that this process is far from natural and sometimes causes vomiting, especially when we imagine that we are eating it. I advise you not to watch while eating
So what kind of oil is suitable for consumption?
You need to cook food on fat that is stable, does not oxidize and does not form free radicals, that is, saturated. These are butter, ghee, coconut oil and even animal fat such as lard. You can read more details. And if you are worried about your Cholesterol, I advise you to read, after it you may not be so afraid to eat lard
I haven't used sunflower oil for about 2 years now, and before that, unrefined sunflower oil was my favorite salad dressing. For more than a year now, my parents and sister have completely abandoned this not-so-healthy oil, as everyone thought.
And then she couldn’t, because she didn’t regain consciousness. And 3 weeks later she was gone. An autopsy revealed a heart attack due to very severe atherosclerosis. And no, I do not claim that it was Sunflower oil that caused atherosclerosis in a week, but I am 100% sure that it was it that aggravated the situation and, one might say, killed my granny. By the way, it was this situation that led my parents to completely abandon the use of Sunflower oil ...
Sunflower oil, although it is a plant product, is toxic to us. It is clear that it is much cheaper than the same healthy fats. But in the end, you will have to pay with your health. And it, as many already know us, is priceless!
Do you use sunflower oil? Or switch to healthy fats?
