Do-it-yourself soap dish from improvised. Homemade soap dish for liquid soap. From wine corks
21 chose
For several months I admired the soap brewed and presented to me Any. When it came time to try all this "yummy" I thought about how and in what to store small masterpieces. Simple soap dishes are of the wrong shape, and it’s not interesting to put a hand-made exclusive in a simple purchased plastic. And I decided to make my own "soap dishes" for each bar of soap.
I already had a little experience in creating Christmas balls from plastic water bottles. And the material seemed suitable to me, besides, it happens different colors. Here's what I ended up with...
Green leaf
I made it from the side of a green bottle. First, we prepare a large rectangle by cutting the bottle along the seam with a clerical knife and cutting off both edges. Then, with ordinary scissors, we cut out the desired shape of the future sheet. In the final, hot air treatment is needed to deform the material as we need. To do this, hold the product high above the gas burner or just above the lighter. When starting heat treatment, it is important not to overheat, so as not to get burned, and only slightly bend all pointed edges without touching the middle - there will be a bed for soap. Any rectangular or elongated piece can be placed in the finished soap dish.
Pink shell with a pearl
Some water bottles have a ribbed surface that resembles the pattern of a shell in which a pearl grows. The shape of the neck of such a bottle (especially if it Pink colour), pretty much everything you need. Cut off the neck, cut off forming a wavy line along the edge of the "funnel". We divide diagonally into two parts (leaving only the connection at the very base). For greater similarity, both halves need to be flattened a little, for this we put the blank under the press for a couple of hours (for example, under a stack of magazines). We process only the very edges with hot air, to form a smooth and non-sharp line. In the final, it would be nice to cover the top "cover" with mother-of-pearl from the inside, the bottom from the outside. I didn’t have real mother-of-pearl, but I had a good pink mother-of-pearl varnish. After drying the shells, it remains only to place a soap "pearl" in it.
floating water lily
A water lily is made from the bottom of a bottle. We cut off the entire circle with a clerical knife above the legs by 2 cm. Then we move on to heat treatment. Gently hold, heating the inner surface of the edge. If you heat evenly from all edges, the water lily will turn out to be even. You can already use. Moreover, not only as a soap dish, but also as a floating decoration, and even as a candlestick for a heating or other small candle.
Box with bows
We draw a rectangle on the bottle with adjacent rectangular sides. Cut along the outer edge, bend and sew adjacent edges with beautiful threads. We tie knots and bows at the ends of the threads. It's good if some pattern is embossed on the bottle - pigeons "sit" on the sides of my soap dish.
To make it, we need:
Transparent plastic bottle;
Pencil;
Ruler;
Making a soap dish
First, rinse and dry the bottle. Put the bottle and soap next to each other. This will help you decide how long the future soap dish will be.
Draw two lines on each side with a pencil on the edges of the jar.
These stripes that you will draw will serve to form the legs of the soap dish. Their width should be about one and a half centimeters. In order to draw the lines, you can use a ruler or a soft tape measure so that they are even and straight.
Cut off the bottle with a knife. Cut the bottle with a knife into two halves along the glued seam. After that, one of the halves must be cut off at the edges, cutting off the bottom and neck. Cut along the outer lines. After the blank is partially ready, cut the bottle along the inner lines, cutting out short strips. Thus, you will have two legs and the rounded stand for the soap dish itself.
Now place the base on a flat surface and apply glue to its edges, to the bottom. Glue the legs. To be honest, at first I would recommend putting the legs on any flat surface, and only then put the base on top of them. This method will help to glue the legs to the soap dish so that everything is even and that it does not stagger.
Now it remains only to let the glue dry, and that's it, the soap dish is completely ready.
If you urgently need to add a touch of spice to, then try to quickly make a soap dish with your own hands. This is a creative process, with its own approaches, so wake up the cockroaches in your head and get down to business.
What materials may be needed?
- plastic bottle;
- gypsum powder or polymer clay;
- glue "Moment";
- paints for plastic and plaster.
It’s impossible to quickly make a soap dish with your own hands!
If you want to reinvent the wheel, then you shouldn’t: it has already been invented before you, but please invent the soap holder! Below is a photo of what the craftsmen did. Learn from experience or try to design something special, not like what you saw. True, in 5 minutes you will not make such a masterpiece, but in 15 - real time for creativity, if you have at hand for this essential tool and patterns are ready.
Soap dispenser from a plastic bottle
In addition to stands for a solid piece, you can also, for example, build a dispenser for a liquid detergent consistency in the country. Do you like this option? Then decide where you will start work.
By the way, such a dispenser may well carry 2 more loads: act as a holder for toothbrushes and be a stand for toothpaste or mouthwash.
Soap-swallow
When you urgently need to collect your husband on the road late at night, and the soap dish is missing as if it were a sin, then 2 bottoms come out from under plastic bottle.
- Cut off the bottom so that the soft walls protrude 5 cm up.
- Find an unnecessary zipper for clothes in the house.
- With wide stitches, sew a zipper to the edges of both plastic bowls.
- You get a nice soapbox-swallow.
DIY soap dish from the bottom of small bottles
You can make a flower soap dish from a plastic bottle day, but you only have to paint the cut object in the color you need. Pick up the paint in the store, just make sure that it is not afraid of water: it is best to choose enamels in spray cans for the car.
Gypsum soap dish
The most openwork soap dish is a gypsum soap dish, but you can only use it in decorative purposes, since gypsum is afraid of water and quickly collapses from it.
Soap today in stores sells all sorts of things: solid, liquid, packed in beautiful bottles, made in the form of graceful flower petals figured. Fragrant with various aromas: from caramel and chocolate to rose, fresh cucumber and sea breeze. Choose - I do not want. But in order for a soap bar or liquid substance to serve for a long time and not lose its appearance, you need to choose the right soap dish.
There is, of course, a sink where you can put a bar of soap. But this is done only in public bathrooms (and even then not in all). After all, it is not too beautiful, and it is very inconvenient. Wet soap slips, falls into the sink (or even onto the floor), softens and becomes unsightly. The soapbox is another matter. Neat, comfortable, the design does not spoil, it can even decorate it when combined with other accessories.
- Let's start with this - a harmonious composition. And we will pick up the soap dish at the same time as other items. For example, a barbell and a curtain, a cup for brushes. Ideally, if all this is in the same style. Manufacturers do just that, releasing entire sets and kits (we will talk about this a little later).
- We also look at the dimensions of the bathroom. If there is enough space, you can buy an elegant and voluminous desktop or wall product. And when maximum compactness is required, we prefer models that do not take away extra space. Hanging over, putting on the mirror or on the sink.

Product varieties
For different types of soap
Someone prefers to use solid soap, while someone prefers liquid.
- For the latter, you can purchase both elegant bottles with dispensers and wall-mounted dispensers.
- There is also a relatively new product - soap shavings. For her, special dispensers are also produced.
So proceed from the interests of family members. By the way, if they diverge, you can purchase a set where there are soap dishes for different types soap.
The now popular touch soap dish is a great invention for daily hygiene procedures. It will be discussed in the following video:
Mounting methods
desktop
For solid soap, these will be all kinds of classic rectangular or oval soap dishes, as well as fancy shapes. They can be placed on a washbasin or a shelf. Simple models may have a top cap and are suitable for travel. Often there is an insert or special bulges inside (so that the soap does not become sour).
- For example, the oval white porcelain model "Spirella Opera" (Switzerland) is equipped inside with four semicircular bulges. Price - 889 rubles. The rectangular beige Spirella Retro model with the same option costs the same.
- Various designer desktop products are also available. complex design, which are not very similar to a soap dish. For example, the “Classic Gold” model from the German brand “Hayta” resembles rather an elegant table lamp. A beautiful figured bowl made of frosted glass rests on a stand made of golden metal with a convex ornament. Soap is placed there. The price "bites" - 4.6 thousand rubles.
- As for liquid soap, desktop products for it are bottles with dispensers made in the general style of the rest. They are also called dispensers. Models with a shiny chrome finish look stylish. Like the Ambiente Elite AX72851 dispenser from the Italian company Bagno & Associati. Its height is 23.7 centimeters, diameter - 6 centimeters, price - 6 thousand rubles.

wall
Such a product can be rigidly attached to the wall or be removable. The latter option may, for example, be a metal ring (fixed motionless), where a bottle of liquid soap is inserted. The design is original and comfortable.
An example is the chrome Kalkgrund model from Ikea, which costs only 300 rubles. For 600 rubles you can buy a dispenser from the same series.

Magnetic
In this case, a magnet is built into the design of the holder, and a special metal detail(included). Due to this connection, a bar of soap floats in the air, which is very practical. It dries well, which means it is more economical.
An example of a fashionable and stylish magnetic variation is the chrome-plated brass Nostalgy model from the popular Czech brand FBS. The price is 2.2 thousand rubles.

On suction cups
More often than not, lightweight plastic soap dishes with vacuum suction cups are produced. They can be attached to a tile or to a mirror.

Product-lattice
It can be both desktop and wall. In the latter case, you need to hang the product so that there is a washbasin or bathtub below. After all, water will drip from wet soap through the grate.
The rarer the bars of the soap bar, the faster the bar of soap dries. The most popular similar soap dishes are wall-mounted chrome-plated.
- They, by the way, can be on a suction cup. Like a wall-mounted oval model of a German-made Wenko Super-Loc soap dish with a holder and two suction cups. Its price is a little over a thousand rubles.
- And here is a table-top soap dish-lattice, slightly similar to a hammock and standing steadily on four legs. The elegant Czech model "FBS RYNA RYN 037" costs 1.2 thousand rubles.

Manufacturing materials
metal
In addition to stainless steel, bronze and brass are also used - both with and without chrome plating. In the latter case, products are made for classic and retro interiors. Like the brass Italian model "ROSE" (brand "Art & Max"), made in the form of a rose flower. Available in bronze and blackened silver. It costs 2.8 thousand rubles.
A more modern chrome-plated soap dish is an oval desktop model from Ikea from the Kalkgrund series, which has an insert with a charming raised embossing and a hole for draining water in the middle. You can buy soap dishes for the bathroom in online stores for 400 rubles.

plastic
The most inexpensive products are made of plastic, easy to clean. They are very varied. And the soap dish breaks or gets tired - and it’s not a pity to throw it away.
Cute a budget option again from Ikea. A desktop transparent rich turquoise plastic soap dish for soap "Svartsjön" with convex crossbars inside will cost only 100 rubles.

glass
Tempered glass is mainly used, so that the products are not only hygienic, but also durable. And beautiful. Recently, there has been a trend towards replacing glass with acrylic - more modern material, which sometimes looks no worse, but stronger.
- An example of a glass soap dish is the oval domestic Aquaton Oxford model. Such a wall-mounted soap dish is finished with brass and chrome and costs 470 rubles.
- Desktop soap dish - European model "Harmonie" (brand "Artwelle"). It also includes brass parts finished in satin chrome. The price is 1.7 thousand rubles.
Modifications, additions and kits
What to buy for a soap dish? Many will answer this question without hesitation. A glass for brushes, a wall-mounted soap dispenser for liquid soap, possibly a mirror. For convenience, manufacturers have combined these products (or some of them) into kits and sell them in sets. It's also cheaper, by the way. Or you can purchase all of one item from one series.
- One of the most economical options is the plastic white and red Warpan set from Ikea. It has a cup, a dispenser, and a simple desktop soap dish. And everything will cost only 79 rubles (according to the action).
- And the budget white Stugvik series, also plastic, allows you to buy the necessary products (which are all attached to suction cups) one at a time. In addition to a glass, a dispenser and a soap dish, for 500 rubles you can buy a small (21 by 30 centimeters) mirror with hooks at the bottom.
However, if there is no need to save, you can pay attention to a series of accessories of German, Italian, Swiss production.
How to make a soap dish with your own hands?
And this section is for creative people. Who do not like to surround themselves with ready-made things. Please:
- If you want - fashion a soap box from polymer clay. Any shape you like.
- Or take a plastic bottle, cut off the bottom and decorate the edges in the form of a flower. And then paint from a spray can.
- You can also cut off a small lateral convex rectangular part from a plastic bottle and put it on four legs. In this case, the bulge should be facing down. Legs - any (from pieces of the same bottle, from wooden sticks, from hard wire). In general, what will be at hand.
And finally, one piece of advice. In beautiful glass soap dishes, unfortunately, water often stagnates. We will remove this drawback by taking a diamond crown and making a neat hole in the center.

There is only half a day left before the holiday, and shopping for gifts takes a lot of time. But we know very well the way to our favorite shop for creativity. This is what we need now. And you don’t need to search for a long time and we will prepare quickly.
Maybe the idea is not mine, and I didn’t come up with a new one, but just to remind. I propose to make small gifts for friends, girlfriends.
So, we buy baked plastic in the store for creativity. Any. I bought Sonnet and Premol. I will say right away: the first one is harder, it is more difficult to warm up, but after baking it is not as stone as the second one.
Necessary materials:
Baked plastic, a file, scissors, a rolling pin, a drinking tube, a vinyl napkin, metal baking dishes - we will lay soap dishes for "baking" on them.
Breaking up plastic. Roll out into a ball. We spread it on a file moistened with water. So the plastic will be better detached from the film. If you know how to mix colors beautifully, you can mix.
Flatten the lump with the palm of your hand.
From above we cover with a file sprinkled with water, and roll it out with a rolling pin to the desired thickness and size. I got 2-3 millimeters.
We remove the top file, put a vinyl napkin on the cake with the volume side so that the motif is clearly printed and roll it with a rolling pin, pressing the napkin into the clay.
Carefully remove the napkin. We get a nice print.
You can cut out a beautiful blank with cookie cutters. I left it like that, did not find a suitable one.
Usually in the soap dish there are holes for draining the water. We take a tube and make holes.
Then carefully remove the workpiece from the substrate-file and place it on a metal mold. I had cocottes and an ashtray. We lay the shuttlecocks beautifully, the clay is pliable.
Put in the oven and bake according to the instructions. Let cool in the oven.
After cooling, we take out, pack and give.
I've already set mine up.
Here are some small gifts.
