How to build a garden house
A garden house will decorate your site and make your stay more comfortable. To build it, you should get a standard set of tools. If you are familiar with at least the initial construction technologies, you can easily build a garden house with your own hands.
Create a project for the future building. Determine in advance what exactly the building will be intended for - for ordinary pastime or for storing things. If you are building a house for habitation, you need to plan the project more carefully. You will definitely need a bedroom, kitchen and pantry, decide the rest yourself. For four people, an area of 30 sq.m. is enough. Choose a location. Do not build a house in low places, water will accumulate there. Try to choose the highest point of the site for the building. When choosing a place, be sure to consider the subsequent installation of water supply and communications. Experts recommend placing the building on the north side of the land, but no closer than three meters from its border. The area must be sunny. Windows and doors should be located on the east side of the building. Build a foundation. For a simple house from one floor, it is advisable to use supporting concrete slabs, the thickness of which is 100 mm. Order the required quantity and dimensions of concrete slabs. Pack the sand and set them to a depth of 15 cm, and then level with a building level. After installing the foundation, lay a layer of waterproofing on it. Ruberoid is ideal. Install the frame. To do this, lay the crown and logs on the foundation supports. Then install vertical supports from the same material. Calculate how many building materials you will need and purchase them. Foam blocks allow you to build a structure very quickly, but in this case, wood would be an ideal option. To create a floor, use thick boards. If you do not know how to properly harvest wood, just order a finished structure and assemble it according to the drawings. Use dowels to fasten the beams. After the laid layer of sealant, lay out a new crown on the finished row. Use tow or jute as a sealant. Raise the roof. The simplest form is a triangular version with two slopes. Install the braces and rafters from the timber. Then make sheathing with timber and lay a layer of roofing material. Carry out the final work on the floor. Cover the boards with thermal insulation. Glassine is suitable for vapor and waterproofing. For flooring, use thick linoleum or floorboards. Do not forget to treat the walls with protective compounds! The structure will look more attractive if you cover it with siding or wooden clapboard from the outside. Make windows and doors out of timber and boards, you can also use old frames. The last step remains - to beautifully equip the house from the inside. Here you can show your creative abilities and make the interior cozy and unique. If you love country style, use checkered curtains, wooden furniture, earthenware and dry bouquets. This completes the construction of the building. As you can see, building a garden house with your own hands is not as difficult as it seems. For maximum comfort, you can build a hob or stove-fireplace in addition.
