Multiple sclerosis at an early stage of development is treated. Multiple sclerosis (MS): what causes it, signs and course, diagnosis, therapy, curable or not? What do you know about your blood
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic neurological disease, which is based on the demyelination of nerve fibers. The peculiarity of such a disease is that it is associated with a malfunction immune system resulting in damage to the spinal cord and brain. The disease manifests itself in the form of disorders associated with coordination, vision, sensitivity.
If time does not pay attention to the standard signs, the disease will progress. Consequences - disability, inability to rationally and effectively make decisions, both at work and in everyday affairs.
What kind of disease is it - multiple sclerosis - why does it develop more often at a young age and what are the first symptoms characteristic of it at a young age? early stage in women and men, we will consider further in the article.
Multiple sclerosis: what is it?
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease of the central nervous system characterized by the destruction of myelin fibers and ultimately leading to disability. With multiple sclerosis, the white matter of the brain and spinal cord is affected in the form of multiple, scattered sclerotic plaques, which is why it is also called multifocal.
Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease. In this state, the body "sees" some of its own tissues as foreign (in particular, the myelin sheath that covers most nerve fibers) and fights them with the help of antibodies. Antibodies attack myelin and destroy it, nerve fibers are "bare".
At this stage, the first symptoms are already beginning to appear, which in the future only begin to progress.
Nothing to do with senile insanity, memory loss does not apply. Sclerosis means a connective tissue scar, and scattered means multiple.
The reasons
The cause of multiple sclerosis is still unknown. It is believed that a prerequisite for the formation of the disease are the features of the set of genes that control the immune response. All sorts of external causes are already superimposed on this factor, which ultimately leads to the development of the disease.
Various causative factors, both external and internal, can increase the permeability of the blood-brain barrier:
- back and head injuries;
- physical and mental stress;
- stress;
- operations.
Nutritional features, such as a large proportion of animal fats and proteins in the diet, have a significant impact on biochemical and immunological reactions in the CNS, forming a risk factor in the development of pathology.
There are risk factorsthat can trigger the development of multiple sclerosis:
- A certain area of residence or insufficient production of vitamin D. People who live far from the equator suffer more often from multiple sclerosis;
- Stressful situations, strong neuropsychic stress;
- excessive smoking;
- low uric acid;
- Made vaccine against hepatitis B;
- Diseases caused by viruses or bacteria.
Signs of sclerosis
The first signs of multiple sclerosis are non-specific and often go unnoticed by both the patient and the doctor. In most patients, the onset of the disease is manifested by symptoms of pathology in one system, and others are connected later. Throughout the disease, exacerbations alternate with periods of complete or relative well-being.
The first sign of multiple sclerosis appears at the age of 20-30 years. But there are cases when multiple sclerosis manifests itself both at an older age and in children. Statistically, it is more common in women than in men.
The signs of multiple sclerosis according to the frequency of manifestation are presented in the table.

Classification
Classification of multiple sclerosis according to the localization of the process:
- The cerebrospinal form - statistically more often diagnosed - differs in that the foci of demyelination are located in both the brain and the spinal cord already at the onset of the disease.
- Cerebral form - according to the localization of the process, it is divided into cerebellar, stem, ocular and cortical, in which various symptoms are observed.
- Spinal form - the name reflects the localization of the lesion in the spinal cord.
There are the following types:
- Primary progressive- a characteristic constant deterioration of the condition. Seizures may be mild or not pronounced. Symptoms are problems with walking, speech, vision, urination, and emptying.
- Secondary progressive form characterized by a gradual increase in symptoms. The appearance of signs of multiple sclerosis can be traced after a cold, inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system. Strengthening of demyelination can also be traced against the background of bacterial infections, leading to increased immunity.
- relapsing-remitting. It is characterized by periods of exacerbation followed by remission. During remission, complete recovery of the affected organs and tissues is possible. Does not progress over time. It occurs quite often and practically does not lead to disability.
- relapsing-remitting progressive multiple sclerosis is characterized by a sharp increase in symptoms during periods of attacks, starting from an early stage of the disease.
Symptoms of multiple sclerosis
Signs of the development of multiple sclerosis depend on where the focus of demyelination is localized. Therefore, symptoms vary from patient to patient and are often unpredictable. It is never possible to simultaneously detect the whole complex of symptoms in one patient at the same time.
Consider the main symptoms of multiple sclerosis:
- Fatigue appears;
- Decreased memory quality
- Weakens mental performance;
- Unreasonable dizziness appears;
- Dive into depression;
- Frequent mood swings;
- Appears involuntary fluctuations in the eyes of high frequencies;
- There is inflammation of the optic nerve;
- Surrounding objects begin to double in the eyes or even blur;
- Speech worsens;
- When eating food, there are difficulties in swallowing;
- Spasms may appear;
- Disorders of movement and motor skills of the hands;
- Periodic pains, numbness of the extremities appear and the sensitivity of the body gradually decreases;
- The patient may suffer from diarrhea or constipation;
- Urinary incontinence;
- Frequent urge to go to the toilet or lack thereof.
Approximately 90% of patients have an undulating course of the disease. This means that periods of exacerbation are replaced by remissions. However, after seven to ten years of the disease, secondary progression develops, when the condition begins to worsen. In 5-10% of cases, the disease is characterized by a primary progressive course.
Multiple sclerosis in women
The signs of multiple sclerosis in women are expected when the immune system is too weakened. The body's filters and cells that are unable to resist the infection give up, so the immune system destroys the myelin sheath of neurons, which consists of neuroglia cells.
As a result, nerve impulses are transmitted through neurons more slowly, causing not only the first symptoms, but also severe consequences - impaired vision, memory, and consciousness.
Sexual dysfunction in multiple sclerosis in women develops due to sexual dysfunction. This symptom is formed immediately after the pathology of urination. It occurs in 70% of women and 90% of men.
Some women experience the following symptoms of multiple sclerosis:
- Inability to achieve orgasm;
- Insufficient lubrication;
- Pain during intercourse;
- Violation of the sensitivity of the genitals;
- High tone of adductor femoral muscles.
According to statistics: women are several times more likely to suffer from multiple sclerosis than men, but they tolerate the disease much easier.
Typically, the classic course of MS is characterized by an increase in severity clinical manifestations, which lasts 2-3 years to give detailed symptoms in the form of:
- Paresis (loss of function) of the lower extremities;
- Registration of pathological foot reflexes (positive symptom of Babinsky, Rossolimo);
- Marked unsteadiness of gait. Subsequently, patients generally lose the ability to move independently;
- An increase in the severity of trembling (the patient is not able to perform a finger-nose test - reach the tip of the nose with the index finger, and the knee-heel test);
- Decrease and disappearance of abdominal reflexes.
From all of the above, it becomes clear that all the initial manifestations of multiple sclerosis are very non-specific. Many symptoms may be a sign of another disease (for example, increased reflexes in neurotic conditions or cramps in calcium metabolism disorders) or even a variant of the norm (muscle weakness after work).
Aggravation
Multiple sclerosis is very a large number of symptoms, one patient may experience only one of them or several at once. It proceeds with periods of exacerbations and remissions.
Any factors can provoke an exacerbation of the disease:
- acute viral diseases
- injury,
- stress,
- error in diet
- alcohol abuse,
- hypothermia or overheating, etc.
The duration of remission periods can be more than a dozen years, the patient leads a normal life and feels completely healthy. But the disease does not disappear, sooner or later a new exacerbation is sure to occur.
The range of symptoms of multiple sclerosis is quite wide:
- from mild numbness in the arm or staggering when walking to enuresis,
- paralysis,
- blindness and difficulty breathing.
It happens that after the first exacerbation, the disease does not manifest itself in any way over the next 10 or even 20 years, the person feels completely healthy. But the disease subsequently takes its toll, again there is an exacerbation.
Diagnostics
When the first symptoms of disruption of the brain or nerves appear, you should contact a neurologist. Doctors use special diagnostic criteria to identify multiple sclerosis:
- The presence of signs of multiple focal lesions of the central nervous system - the white matter of the brain and spinal cord;
- Progressive development of the disease with the gradual addition of various symptoms;
- Instability of symptoms;
- progressive nature of the disease.
- immune system research;
- biochemical analyzes;
- MRI of the brain and spine (shows accumulation of plaques);
- CT scan of the brain and spine (shows foci of inflammation);
- electromyography (for finding pathologies in the organs of vision and hearing);
- diagnosis by an ophthalmologist (for examination for myopathy).
After all the necessary tests and studies, the doctor will make a diagnosis, on the basis of which treatment will be prescribed.
Treatment of multiple sclerosis
Patients in whom the disease is diagnosed for the first time are usually hospitalized in the neurological department of the hospital for a detailed examination and therapy. Treatment is selected individually, depending on the severity and symptoms.
Multiple sclerosis is currently considered incurable. However, people are shown symptomatic therapy, which can improve the quality of life of the patient. He is prescribed hormonal drugs, means to increase immunity. Sanatorium-and-spa treatment has a positive effect on the condition of such people. All these measures allow you to increase the time of remission.
Drugs that help change the course of the disease:
- drugs of the group of steroid hormones - this type of drugs are used for exacerbations of the course of multiple sclerosis, their use can reduce the duration of the period of its exacerbation;
- immunomodulators - with their help, the symptomatology characteristic of multiple sclerosis is weakened, the time interval of exacerbations increases;
- immunosuppressants (drugs that suppress the immune system) - their use is dictated by the need to influence the immune system that damages myelin during periods of exacerbation of the disease.
Symptomatic treatment is used to relieve specific symptoms of the disease. The following drugs may be used:
- Mydocalm, sirdalud - reduce muscle tone with central paresis;
- Prozerin, galantamine - with urination disorder;
- Sibazon, phenazepam - reduce tremor, as well as neurotic symptoms;
- Fluoxetine, paroxetine - for depressive disorders;
- Finlepsin, antelepsin - are used to eliminate seizures;
- Cerebrolysin, nootropil, glycine, B vitamins, glutamic acid - are used in courses to improve the functioning of the nervous system.
A patient with multiple sclerosis will benefit from therapeutic massage. This will improve blood circulation and speed up all processes in the problem area. Massage will relieve muscle pain, spasms and improve coordination. However, this therapy is contraindicated in osteoporosis.
Acupuncture is also used to alleviate the patient's condition and speed up recovery. Thanks to this procedure, spasms and swelling are removed, the level of pain in the muscles decreases and problems with urinary incontinence are eliminated.
With the permission of a doctor, you can take:
- 50 mg vitamin thiamine twice daily and 50 mg B-complex;
- 500 mg of natural vitamin C 2-4 times a day;
- folic acid in combination with the B-complex;
- twice a year for two months they take thioctic acid - an endogenous antioxidant, is involved in carbohydrate and fat metabolism.
Alternative methods of treatment of multiple sclerosis:
- 5 g of mumijo are dissolved in 100 ml of boiled chilled water, taken on an empty stomach in a teaspoon three times a day.
- Mix 200 g of honey with 200 g of onion juice, consume one hour before meals 3 times a day.
- Honey and onion. On a grater, you need to rub the onion and squeeze the juice out of it (you can use a juicer). A glass of juice should be mixed with a glass of natural honey. This mixture should be taken three times a day, one hour before meals.
Prognosis for multiple sclerosis
About 20% of patients are faced with a benign form of multiple sclerosis, the course of which is characterized by a slight progression of symptoms after the onset of a primary attack of the disease, or no progression at all. This allows patients to fully maintain their ability to work.
Many patients, unfortunately, are also faced with a malignant form of the course of the disease, as a result of which the deterioration of the condition occurs steadily and quickly, subsequently leading to severe disability, and sometimes to death.
Patients often die from infections (urosepsis,), called intercurrent. In other cases, the cause of death is bulbar disorders, in which swallowing, chewing, the function of the respiratory or cardiovascular system suffer, and pseudobulbar disorders, also accompanied by a violation of swallowing, facial expressions, speech, intelligence, but cardiac activity and breathing do not suffer.
Prevention
Prevention of multiple sclerosis includes:
- Constant physical activity is required. They should be moderate, not debilitating.
- If possible, avoid stress, find time to relax. A hobby will help you get distracted from thinking about problems.
- Cigarettes and alcohol accelerate the destruction of neurons and can impair the immune system.
- Keeping track of your weight, avoiding strict diets and overeating.
- Refusal of hormonal drugs (if possible) and contraceptives.
- Refusal of a large amount of fatty foods;
- Avoid overheating.
Multiple sclerosis is a disease of the nervous system in which the myelin sheath of nerve endings is destroyed, and sclerotic plaques from connective tissue form in its place. They interfere with the conduction of nerve impulses from the brain to the organs. The course of the disease directly depends on where the affected areas are located and whether there is inflammation in them.
Course of the disease
Multiple sclerosis has many manifestations. This is due to the fact that sclerotic plaques can appear in different places brain and spinal cord. They go through different stages of development. In this case, the patient may appear and disappear various symptoms.
The course of the disease is characterized by alternating periods of exacerbation and remission (weakening or complete disappearance of symptoms). Such periods of health can be very long - up to 5 years. But, unfortunately, over time, exacerbations become more frequent. Properly selected treatment can reduce the frequency of attacks.
The variety of forms of the disease and its manifestations make it very difficult for doctors to make a diagnosis. The main symptoms of the disease are described. In this regard, until recently it was believed that multiple sclerosis is a very serious disease, always leading to disability. Mild forms, which tend to fade, were considered other neurological diseases. However, there are quite a lot of benign cases, more than 25% of patients live with this disease for several decades. At the same time, they remain able-bodied until old age.
How the disease will proceed becomes clear after the first outbreak. However, patients need to remember that exacerbation is always followed by improvement. And often it can last for years. In women, it almost always proceeds much easier than in men.
Types of the course of the disease
How MS will manifest itself largely depends on the changes that have occurred in the myelin sheath during the latency period. That is, when the disease has already begun to develop in the body, but no signs of it have yet been noticeable.
There are five types:
- benign multiple sclerosis. The disease begins with numerous attacks. But over time, periods of remission become longer. The myelin sheath of nerve fibers has time to recover and the symptoms disappear. Those patients who have this particular form of the disease may believe that multiple sclerosis is practically curable. This form does not lead to disability and occurs in 20% of patients.
- relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. With such a course of the disease, attacks of deterioration alternate with periods when a person feels healthy. In this case, the functions of the affected organs can be restored completely or partially. The period of exacerbation lasts from several days to several weeks. Recovery may take several months. This feature is typical for most patients, especially in the initial period.
- Primary progressive multiple sclerosis. It is characterized by a gradual deterioration in well-being. This form proceeds without pronounced exacerbations, but leads to a steady loss of ability to work. Occurs in 15% of patients. More often in those who fell ill after 40 years.
- Secondary progressive multiple sclerosis. At the initial stage, it proceeds according to the type of remitting, with exacerbations and improvements in the condition. But then it goes into a progressive form. Such a course of the disease can lead to disability in 5 years.
- Progressive-remitting multiple sclerosis. The rarest form of the disease. With it, against the background of a gradual progressive deterioration of the condition, acute attacks periodically occur. After them, there may be an improvement in well-being. The onset of the disease in such patients is of the type of primary progressive multiple sclerosis.
Depending on which part of the nervous system is more affected, they distinguish various forms. Thus, when the brain is damaged, cerebral form and in case of spinal cord injury spinal. If the damaged areas are located in both departments, then multiple sclerosis occurs. cerebrospinal form. Although some researchers consider them stages of the development of the disease, which can occur in one patient.
How to cure multiple sclerosis
While scientists continue to look for drugs that could eliminate the causes of the disease and permanently save the patient from its manifestations. At this stage, medicine uses drugs that relieve symptoms and alleviate the manifestations of the disease, prolong the period of remission and prevent complications.
There are two types of treatment, depending on the phase of its course
- Drugs that are prescribed during exacerbation and deterioration
- Interval treatment, which must be taken long-term during the improvement period
Treatment for exacerbations
An exacerbation is considered a deterioration in the condition that lasts more than a day. In this case, new symptoms may appear. Taking cortisone and adrenocorticotropic hormone during this period, in the form of tablets and injections, helps relieve inflammation and prevent the appearance of functional disorders. They also reduce the body's immune attack on the myelin sheath of nerves.
To achieve the best effect, it is necessary to start treatment as early as possible. This contributes to the rapid transition to the stage of remission and the restoration of the nervous system after an attack. With frequent inflammation good effect gives a combination of Cyclophosphamide and Cortisone. Also, the doctor individually selects drugs to alleviate the symptoms of the disease.
Interval treatment
Its purpose is to help nerve cells recover between attacks, protect the brain and spinal cord from attack by lymphocytes, and help the immune system function properly. For this, such drugs are used: Azathioprine, Cyclosporine A, Mitoxantrone, Methotrexate, Beta-interferon and Immunoglobulins.
It should be noted that more than 120 different drugs are used to treat multiple sclerosis. In each case, the doctor prescribes individually drugs and their dosage based on the frequency of attacks and the severity of the patient's condition.
In some cases it is required surgical treatment. To reduce the immune attack, the thymus gland and spleen can be removed. A bone marrow transplant is performed. AT last years studies are underway on the effectiveness of the introduction of stem cells, which replace diseased brain neurons.
In conclusion, we can say that although multiple sclerosis is considered an incurable disease by official medicine, a large percentage of people manage to maintain their usual standard of living. To date, various immunosuppressors and immunomodulators are widely used for treatment, which can delay the development of the disease. New drugs and vaccines are constantly being developed. This gives hope that soon this disease will be finally defeated.
The cure was stem cells, which were extracted from the bone marrow of rats and treated with certain chemicals. As a result, scientists received cells that have the ability to restore myelin - the substance from which the sheath of nerve fibers, which is destroyed during scattered. When these cells were transplanted into rodents suffering from this disease, it was found that they took root in the body and began to actively regenerate the myelin of damaged nerve sheaths.
Stem cell therapy is the best way to help patients in the early and middle stages of multiple sclerosis.
All currently existing and vitamin complexes provide temporary relief in MS and cannot guarantee a complete recovery. The most common drug today is Cladribine, which is prescribed to patients instead of droppers. When conducting short courses of Cladribine therapy twice a year, multiple sclerosis is gradually smoothed out. Stem cell treatment is already practiced in clinics in Israel and Germany, in other countries it is quite expensive and almost inaccessible to the general population.
How to be treated with stem cells
Clinical treatment of multiple sclerosis consists of three stages. At the first stage, doctors take the patient's biological material, from which stem cells will be isolated and grown. This process takes about two weeks, during which the cell mass is increased to 200 million units. At the second stage, the patient is injected with stem cells through a conventional intravenous drip under strict medical supervision.
The transplantation procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, is completely painless, does not cause complications, has no contraindications and lasts approximately 40 minutes.
At the third stage, the re-introduction of stem cells is performed, which is prescribed two months after the first transplant. The first results of therapy become noticeable six months after the end of the course of treatment. The patient's psycho-emotional state normalizes, confidence in recovery increases, motor functions return, speech disorders and coordination of movements are restored. The patient becomes physically and intellectually productive as the areas of the brain affected by multiple sclerosis almost completely regenerate and bring the patient back to life.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system especially the brain and spinal cord. As MS progresses, nerves are damaged and quality of life deteriorates. There are several ways to treat MS, and the method of treatment depends on the extent of the disease and the symptoms experienced. Although MS cannot be completely cured, symptoms can be alleviated, which can help slow the progression of the disease and improve quality of life.
Steps
Part 1
Treating an MS attackTake corticosteroid medications. Corticosteroids help reduce the nerve inflammation that comes with MS. Corticosteroid drugs such as prednisone (usually taken by mouth) and methylprednisolone (usually given intravenously) are often prescribed for MS. Corticosteroids are quite effective, but they have many unpleasant side effects, including insomnia, high blood pressure, mood swings and irritability, and fluid retention.
Undergo plasmapheresis. Plasmapheresis, or purification of blood plasma, helps many patients with an exacerbation of MS. During this procedure, plasma is removed, blood cells are mixed with albumin (protein solution), after which the blood is returned to the body.
Try physical therapy. Often MS attacks are accompanied by symptoms such as blurry vision or severe muscle spasms. One way to alleviate these symptoms is to improve muscle control of the limbs with physical therapy, although some experts recommend using physical therapy in combination with a course of corticosteroids for maximum effect.
Try medical cannabis (marijuana). If medical use of cannabis is legal in your country, it may help you relieve muscle cramps and pain. The American Academy of Neurology has recognized that smoking or ingesting (as extract or synthetic cannabinoids) medical cannabis helps to alleviate many of the symptoms of MS. However, marijuana is not for everyone. Talk to your doctor about the possible benefits and risks of marijuana use.
Part 3
Overcoming relapsing-remitting MS with medicines- The most common types of interferons are interferon beta-1a (such as Avonex and Rebif) and interferon beta-1b (such as Betaseron and Extavia).
-
Try glatiramer acetate. This drug appointed by the attending physician, who monitors the patient's condition during the reception. Glatiramer acetate is given intravenously to help control the immune system's attack on the myelin sheath of nerve tissue. This protein reduces the number of relapses and can delay or even prevent permanent disability.
Use dimethyl fumarate. This drug is prescribed by the attending physician and taken orally under his supervision. It helps reduce the recurrence of MS. As a rule, dimethyl fumarate is taken twice a day. Side effects include diarrhea, fever and redness of the skin, nausea, and a low white blood cell count.
Try taking fingolimod. This remedy is also taken as directed and under the supervision of the attending physician. It reduces the frequency of relapses by preventing the immune system from attacking nerve tissue in the brain and spinal cord. Fingolimod may also delay or even prevent permanent disability.
Take teriflunomide. This drug is taken as directed and under the supervision of a physician. Teriflunomide, taken orally once a day, helps prevent or mitigate relapses of MS. This drug has a large number of possible side effects of varying severity, including liver damage and hair loss. Teriflunomide should not be taken during pregnancy or by women who may become pregnant or their partners as it can cause serious harm to the developing fetus.
Use natalizumab. This drug prevents cells of the immune system from entering the brain and spinal cord and thereby reduces the risk of damage to nerve tissue in these areas. Natalizumab often helps with relapsing-remitting forms of MS, although it increases the risk of a viral infection of the brain.
Take interferons. Specialists often prescribe interferons to control relapsing forms of MS. These drugs are administered intravenously. They have been shown to help reduce the frequency and severity of recurrent MS attacks. Possible side effects include liver problems, so regular blood tests are essential so your doctor can monitor levels of liver enzymes that indicate liver damage.
Put on the bottom of the refrigerator. The next day, take a lemon, cut off the skin (from where it grows), rub it, pour a teaspoon of lemon juice and drain it into a tablespoon. Add a teaspoon of garlic juice there, stir. Take 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals. The course is from 1 to 3 months, then a month break and repeat the course. Relieves spasms of cerebral vessels, cardiac spasms and shortness of breath. An excellent vasodilator and cleanser.
2. Heather. 1 heaping tablespoon of chopped heather per 0.5 liters of boiling water. Boil for 10 minutes, leave wrapped for 3 hours, strain. Drink as tea and water at any time of the day. Drink with anything. It is used for atherosclerosis, rheumatism and nervous disorders. As well as insomnia cardiovascular diseases, circulatory disorders of the spinal cord, liver diseases, stones and sand in the kidneys and bladder. The first week, take 1/2 cup, and then a glass.
3. Garlic. Fill 1/3 bottle with chopped, peeled garlic. Fill with vodka or grad. alcohol. Insist 14 days in a dark place, shaking daily. Take 5 drops 3 times a day before meals, per teaspoon cold water. It cleanses the circulatory system of all kinds of deposits, relieves high blood pressure, cleanses the stomach, and has a beneficial effect on spasms of cerebral vessels.
4. Honey, onions. Grate onion on a fine grater, squeeze. Mix 1 cup onion juice with 1 cup honey. Mix well. If the honey is candied, slightly warm it in a water bath. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day 1 hour before meals, or 2-3 hours after meals. It is used for atherosclerosis, especially for cerebral sclerosis.
5. Active lifestyle, weight loss, diet. Limit sugar, sweets, animal fats. Avoid foods rich in cholesterol: Brains, egg yolk, caviar, fatty meats and fish, vitamin D, salt and extractives (meat broths, etc.). Recommended: Cottage cheese, well-soaked herring, cod, oatmeal; vegetable oils: Olive, corn, sunflower, linseed. More vegetables, fruits, rich in vegetable fiber. If you are overweight, fasting days are recommended: Apple, kefir, cottage cheese, compote, etc. Walk sick in the fresh air, drink spring, well or passed through filters tap water. A precipitate of chlorine, salts in every possible way scleroze the vessels. They clean vessels well, remove deposits: Apples, horseradish, garlic, rose hips, buckwheat flowers, heather, cinquefoil, vitamin r-rutin, seaweed, green parsley and roots, red mountain ash. Drink green tea.
6. Red clover. (Flowering leafy tops collected at the beginning of flowering). 40 gr. flowers insist in 500 gr. vodka for 2 weeks. Strain, squeeze. Take 20 gr. before dinner or before bed. The course of treatment is 3 months with a break of 10 days. After 6 months, the course can be repeated. It is used for atherosclerosis with normal arterial pressure, accompanied by headaches and tinnitus.
7. Hot water. Drink daily on an empty stomach. hot water (as the mouth tolerates). Hot water taken on an empty stomach softens the blood vessels, cleanses them and removes harmful deposits from the body.
8. To alleviate senile sclerosis, make a tincture of 40 g of elecampane roots per 1/2 liter of vodka. Reception -25 g per day. The course continues as you consume 1.5 liters of tincture.
9. With sclerosis, a strong decoction of parsley helps.
10. With sclerosis of the brain, an infusion of celandine herbs is used. 3 glasses a day.
11. With sclerosis of cerebral vessels, it is recommended to use a folk remedy: 200 g of rowan bark is boiled for 2 hours in 0.5 liters of water. Apply 20 g before meals 3 times a day.
Sclerosis treatment with folk remedies at home
I call sclerosis the replacement of dense connective tissue of the parenchyma (tissue of the internal environment) of human organs, as a rule, it is not considered an independent disease, sclerosis is a kind of platform for another disease, which in such a situation is the main one. Like the treatment of other diseases, there is a treatment for sclerosis with the help of folk remedies.
Sclerosis treatment with folk remedies
Folk remedies for the treatment of sclerosis - tinctures
Herbal infusion. You will need the following herbs: creeping thyme, common pikulnik, blue eucalyptus, sowing oats. Preparation: the first step is to select these components in equal proportions. Then pour one tablespoon of the mixture - half a liter of boiling water (it is preferable to use a thermos). Let it brew all night. The infusion is ready. For the treatment of sclerosis, it must be consumed hot all next day. Alternate herbs for 1 month.
You will need: two glasses of red young grape wine, 2 glasses of wine, two tablespoons of honey, four leaves of aloe (remember, it is better to take a three-year-old flower). The first step is to clean and wash the aloe leaves. Then grind them, then mix the resulting slurry with honey, and leave for a while until all the honey dissolves, then add young wine to the mixture. It is preferable to store in the refrigerator for no more than two weeks. You can use one honeycomb spoon fifteen minutes before meals, three to four times a day.
Decoctions by folk recipes for the treatment of sclerosis
Heather is a common plant, a shrub with pink-lilac flowers. You will need: one and a half tablespoons of pre-shredded heather, half a liter of boiling water. Heather pour boiling water, cook for ten minutes, wrap with a towel or other cloth, let it brew, then strain. Use as tea or as herbal water (helps in cases of atherosclerosis, rheumatism and nervous breakdown, insomnia, circulatory disorders of the spinal cord, stones and sand in the kidneys, cardiovascular diseases, liver diseases. In the first week, drink half a glass, then you can increase to a full glass.
A decoction of parsley is curative in case of sclerosis.
Treatment of multiple sclerosis with the help of larkspur steam. To prepare a folk remedy, you will need: twenty grams of larkspur (grass) larkspur, and then soak overnight with a liter of water (preferably cold). It should be noted that in the morning it is necessary to boil for five or seven minutes. Then you need to insist in a warm place for about six hours, then strain. As for the application, you need to take one tablespoon three times a day, 15 minutes before meals. It should be added that at night it is necessary to rub one tablespoon of Napara into the spine.
Attention! The plant is poisonous. In no case should larkspur steam be used in diseases of the heart, kidneys, and liver.
Sclerosis treatment at home
Alternative treatment of sclerosis with garlic
Garlic oil has healing properties. For treatment, you need a head of garlic. Preparation: peel the garlic, grind it to a pulp. Pour the resulting slurry into a glass container (preferably a jar), then pour unrefined sunflower oil (one glass). Put in the refrigerator (on the bottom shelf, so that the cooling of the resulting mixture is not so strong). Keep the folk remedy in the refrigerator for one day, remove from the refrigerator the next day. Next, you need a lemon.

How to cure and prevent cerebral sclerosis
Sclerosis is a disease in which the walls of blood vessels are destroyed and reborn, losing elasticity, and their lumen becomes narrow and blocked by fibrous plaques.
Sclerosis belongs to systemic diseases, as it affects all the vessels of the body. But depending on which vessels undergo pathological changes, there are several varieties of the disease. Recently, cerebral vascular sclerosis has become especially widespread, which is one of the main causes that lead to disability and increase the level of morbidity and mortality.
The most susceptible to sclerosis of cerebral vessels are people over 50 years of age. But sometimes the symptoms of the disease can be detected in the summer. In men, sclerosis is diagnosed 5-7 times more often than in women.
Causes of pathology
Most often, the cause of the development of sclerosis is the atherosclerotic process, leading to the formation of cholesterol plaques and blood clots, narrowing of the arteries and circulatory disorders.
This condition leads to the fact that the brain cells receive an insufficient amount of nutrients and oxygen, which disrupts their functioning and causes scarring and cysts. In some cases, fibrous plaques completely clog the blood vessel, depriving the tissues of nutrition and causing their necrosis or causing a stroke.
The formation of atherosclerotic plaques can occur as a result of:
- hereditary predisposition;
- lipid metabolism disorders;
- hormonal disruptions;
- sedentary lifestyle;
- emotional and physical overstrain;
- increased pressure;
- development of diabetes;
- the presence of obesity;
- occurrence of endocrine diseases;
- frequent stress;
- malnutrition (excessive consumption of fats and cholesterol);
- smoking;
- alcohol abuse;
- age changes.
Clinical manifestations of the disease
On the early stages The symptoms of multiple sclerosis are subtle and often overlooked. Therefore, treatment of an ailment is often started when pathological changes have significantly affected the state of the brain, which greatly weakens the effectiveness of therapy.
Depending on the symptoms, there are 3 stages of sclerosis
The first stage is accompanied by non-specific signs:
- recurrent headaches;
- mild dizziness;
- weakening of attention and memory;
- decrease in working capacity;
- drowsiness or insomnia;
- rapid fatigue and lethargy;
- depression and apathy;
- capriciousness and captiousness;
- excessive excitability and irritability;
- a sharp change in emotional state;
- tinnitus (in one or two);
- "flies" before the eyes;
- fainting state.
Headaches are aggravated in stressful conditions, with mental and physical stress. Symptoms of multiple sclerosis may develop gradually over several years.
At the second stage, the human psyche changes and signs such as:
- lack of activity;
- decrease in working capacity;
- loss of professional skills;
- Difficulties in performing usual work;
- loss of coordination of movements;
- violation of articulation and speech skills;
- decrease in intellectual abilities;
- weakening of concentration and attention;
- inability to understand the meaning of what is read:
- loss of short-term memory: the patient forgets what happened yesterday, but remembers well, including detailed details, what happened many years ago.
The onset of the third stage is indicated by characteristic symptoms:
- significant memory impairment: a person cannot remember the names and birthdays of loved ones, as well as other significant dates and events;
- professional incompetence.
Often, sclerosis of cerebral vessels leads to dementia, heart attacks and strokes.
How to diagnose sclerosis
If a person has symptoms that indicate the possible development of sclerosis, he needs to consult a neurologist.
The doctor will examine the patient and refer him to:
- neurosonography - ultrasound examination of the vessels of the brain;
- two-dimensional and transcranial duplex scanning - ultrasound examination of blood flow inside the skull;
- angiography of the brain - x-ray examination of blood vessels using a contrast agent;
- magnetic resonance angiography - examination of blood vessels using electromagnetic waves or magnetic fields;
- general and biochemical blood test;
- general urine analysis.
Therapy Methods
For the treatment of sclerosis to be successful, it must solve 2 main tasks:
- prevention of further formation of atherosclerotic plaques;
- formation of bypass pathways for blood flow.
To cope with the above tasks, first of all, it is necessary to direct all efforts to the treatment of concomitant diseases (especially hypertension and diabetes mellitus) and diet.
Proper nutrition for sclerosis
People with multiple sclerosis need:
- give up smoked meats, fatty meats, liver, kidneys, eggs, chocolate, sorrel;
- limit the consumption of salt, bakery and pasta;
- increase content plant food, dairy products, cereals, fish and seafood.
Green tea, lemon and grape juice, parsley, cabbage, cucumbers, zucchini, green pea, carrots, garlic, onions, mountain ash, wild rose, apples, pomegranates, walnuts, sprouted grains, oatmeal, seaweed, vegetable oils.
Of great importance in the fight against sclerosis is proper rest and sleep, avoidance of unrest and overwork, as well as therapy with folk methods.
In no case should you self-medicate, so as not to worsen the situation. In each case, the attending physician selects medications individually, taking into account the age of the patient, the stage of the disease, symptoms, and the presence of concomitant diseases.
We are treated with medicines
Drug treatment for sclerosis includes the use of:
- anticoagulants - reduce blood viscosity and prevent the formation of blood clots;
- satin - reduce the rate of formation of cholesterol;
- lipid-lowering agents - normalize the level of lipids in the blood;
- drugs that dilate blood vessels, improve blood circulation and nutrition of brain cells;
- drugs that lower blood pressure and blood sugar levels;
- medicines that restore the functioning of the liver;
- nootropic drugs - stimulate brain activity, improve memory, attention and learning ability;
- neuroprotectors - improve the survival of nerve cells in conditions of oxygen starvation;
- immunostimulating drugs;
- vitamin and mineral complexes.
Benefits of Physiotherapy
Effective action in the fight against sclerosis will have a complex of physiotherapy exercises, which must be selected individually for each patient in accordance with his capabilities, and physiotherapy procedures: massage, balneotherapy, magnetotherapy.
Physiotherapy treatment relieves pain, normalizes blood pressure, improves cerebral circulation, activates metabolism, relieves insomnia, improves mood.
When is an operation needed?
If a patient's vessel is clogged by more than 70%, he is referred for a consultation with a vascular surgeon. The doctor examines the patient's condition and decides on the need for surgical intervention.
Surgical treatment is aimed at removing fibrous plaques and blood clots.
During the operation, apply:
- endarterectomy - the wall of the affected artery is cut and the thrombus is removed;
- stenting - a stent is inserted into the vessel, expanding the lumen.
Help of traditional medicine
Effectively complement traditional therapy treatment with folk remedies. It will help relieve the symptoms of the disease and improve the general condition of the patient.
The following healing compounds are especially popular:
- juice squeezed from the roots and leaves of dandelion, and diluted with rice water (drink it for a minute before meals 4 times a day, 50 milliliters each);
- thyme and mint are mixed in equal amounts, the resulting mixture (20 grams) is brewed with boiling water (500 milliliters) and left to brew for 40 minutes, taken 2-3 times a week, 60 milliliters each;
- the onion is rubbed on a grater and juice is squeezed out of it (250 milliliters), combined in equal proportions with honey, drunk an hour before meals, 20 milliliters three times a day;
- honey (1 liter) mixed with lemon juice, squeezed out of two lemons, and chopped garlic (one head), the treatment mixture (20 grams) is diluted with cold water (250 milliliters) and drunk on an empty stomach for two months;
- rowan bark (200 grams) is brewed with boiling water (500 milliliters) and kept on low heat for two hours, the decoction is taken 60 milliliters before meals 3 times a day.
But you can start treatment with folk remedies only after consulting a doctor.
Therefore, only a comprehensive treatment that combines physical activity, mental work, diet, physiotherapy, medication and medicinal decoctions will help to achieve success in the fight against an insidious disease.
Prevention
To prevent cerebral sclerosis will help:
- balanced diet;
- rejection of bad habits;
- active lifestyle;
- maintaining normal blood pressure;
- prevention of stressful situations, physical and mental overwork;
- quality sleep and good rest;
- regular memory training (learning foreign languages, memorizing poetry).
Hello, I am 58 years old. I do not drink, I do not smoke, but recently signs of the first stage of sclerosis have begun to be observed. It would be desirable to learn here that: 1) through what period signs of the second stage can be shown? 2) increase in physical activity and transition to healthy eating can help get rid of the symptoms of the first stage? 3) and if all the same the disease progresses, is the risk high in such operations?
Say what you like, but the disease is still easier to prevent than to treat. In youth, when nothing hurts, many do not think about health and lead a not quite right lifestyle. And then such diseases come to us at a more mature age. I think that it is necessary to start prevention from many diseases as early as possible. The recipe is always the same: proper nutrition, active lifestyle and some sports.
I read everything. How much superfluous both in essence and in content. Understand, what treatise requires content. But most of the above is a gag, forgive me the townsfolk, which we all are. As for traditional medicine, there is more truth here, and it must be adhered to not when you feel something, but all your life. How long can an operated person live, and whose guarantees are there? Here is your answer. You definitely need to be careful!
All our illnesses are due to malnutrition. The best medicine is a raw food diet, vegetarianism, a complete rejection of concentrated foods. You need to walk barefoot, douse yourself with cold water. Practice dancing and singing.
In fact, a serious problem. My husband has long started all this: headaches, and his legs began to fail, and now there are problems in bed. The examination showed that the vessels were not in order, they prescribed a bunch of medicines, they told me to change my lifestyle, etc. But what was going on, what was going on. He recharges with smartprost, drinks some fast-acting drugs - and that’s it, he doesn’t want to be treated. So close to a stroke, I think.

Sclerosis
SCLEROSIS - connective tissue compaction of any organs, tissues.
With sclerosis of an organ, the functionally valuable elements of its parenchyma are destroyed and replaced by mature, sometimes coarse fibrous connective tissue, often with the deposition of amyloid, clay, and lime in it.
The causes of the death of parenchyma elements in sclerosis can be inflammation, usually chronic (tuberculosis, rheumatism, syphilis, etc.), circulatory disorders (venous stasis), age-related changes, metabolic disorders, etc.
Sclerosis can be focal and diffuse.
