Today, an electric boiler is the most expensive heating option. Because the cost of electricity is higher than that of other traditional energy sources in any region of Russia. But there is an unconditional reason for purchasing an electric boiler when it is impossible to connect to a gas main or organize a supply of liquefied gas. Because to bring the pipe to the consumer and install a gas tank is very expensive; and a box with cylinders is the most inconvenient solution, even for heating country house during temporary residence.
An electric boiler will cost much less even if the house is not connected to the line: the main costs are associated with the purchase of a boiler, the assembly of two electrical panels and the distribution of power wiring in the house. The most common, affordable and popular options for heating electric boilers: they heat the coolant with heating elements, are not demanding on the quality of water in the system, and are maintainable. With automatic control systems, they are safe and easy to operate. You can hang and connect most single-phase devices yourself, according to the instructions from the manufacturer. For piping boilers with a power of more than 3.5 kW, it is necessary to involve a specialist - he is able to assess the condition of the electrical wiring and the heating circuit.

The boiler is purchased separately, and for its connection it is recommended to use the original kit (3-way valve, actuator, wiring, bracket and seals) - in this case, the boiler automation fully controls both DHW and heating.
Different potentials of heating elements and 3-stage adjustment of each of them allow heating water with an accuracy of 2.5 °C. Thanks to the same system, a gradual increase in power is implemented. Therefore, even with the rapid heating of the coolant, sharp voltage drops in the network are excluded.
It makes it difficult to choose a different number of power levels of devices: 6 - for 6, 12 and 14-kilowatt equipment; 9 - for 9, 18 and 21-kilowatt; 12 steps only for 24 and 28 kilowatts.

Electric boilers of the series are designed to service traditional and low-temperature heating systems. Devices are different modern design and microprocessor control.
The advantage of the control unit on microprocessors is expressed in increased functionality. When included in the system storage capacity for the DHW circuit, microprocessors also provide hot water temperature control.
In addition to the high cost of the boiler itself and its maintenance, the disadvantages include the fact that the manufacturer's warranty takes place only if the equipment is installed by specialists from authorized centers.

Electrode boilers
These devices have a coolant conductor (electrolyte) between the body (cathode) and the internal element (anode). When the boiler is connected to the mains, electrolyte ions begin to move between the cathode and anode. Particles change direction 50 times per second, as a result of which the coolant heats up quickly. With the correct composition of the electrolyte, the boiler operates with high efficiency.
You can turn on such a device in the heating circuit yourself. But only a qualified specialist can connect it to the network. Despite the fact that the device can be inserted into the heating circuit in the most cramped conditions, it can hardly be called compact - for mounting a circulation pump, control unit, expansion tank, protective and control devices you need a lot of space. There are restrictions on the length of the system; cannot be used in the DHW circuit.
7. Koterm model "Dachnik M" - for 8,990 and 10,999 rubles
"Dachnik M" - device flow type with 2 or 4 nozzles. Designed for operation in closed CO circuits with natural or forced circulation of the coolant. Among the advantages are the size of the device and the declared efficiency.

Here, the coolant is heated in a flow heat exchanger, which is heated under the influence of a powerful electric magnetic field. There were no obvious differences in performance. Manufacturers claim the longest life of the heating element - at least 30 years. Theoretically, this fact should determine the operational benefit. But today you have to pay very dearly for such an advantage, so induction boilers have not received wide distribution.

Each model of the PROF induction boiler line is a set of a non-separable heater flask and an external control unit.

Urban amenities are increasingly penetrating the countryside. Arranged in houses central heating, cold and hot water supply, sewerage. However, this is quite expensive and time consuming. To have hot water, regardless of the heating season, is the desire of every housewife.
Our industry produces domestic kitchen electric water heaters. One of them is EVAN-10 / 1.25 with a capacity of 10 liters and a power of 1.25 kW. But you don't often see them for sale. I offer an electric water heater of a simple design. It simplifies the heating of water in a house where there is an autonomous water supply system. An electric pump supplies water from the well to a tank located in the attic, and from there it flows by gravity into the kitchen and into the electric water heater.
To get hot water, I made a batch heater. In an aluminum tank with a capacity of 50 liters at a height of 50 mm from the bottom, I put a V-shaped heating element with a power of 2 kW. The heating element is switched on and off by the magnetic starter automatically depending on the water temperature. The temperature sensor controls the magnetic starter. According to the sensor scale from 30°С to 100°С (stepless regulation), the required water temperature is set. It takes 15 minutes for water to boil.
On the wall of the tank on top, I put a water level float valve, which is used in toilet flush cisterns, but for hot water it is desirable to use a metal float. To prevent the heating element from being turned on without water, the end of the hot water withdrawal pipe was located 50 mm above the heating element, i.e. even when the tank is completely empty, if the float valve does not work and does not turn on the cold water supply, the heating element will remain in the water and will not burn out.
I installed the temperature sensor at the level of the heating element on the opposite side of it, so that when it is turned on at the minimum water level, it does not boil away.
To prevent the tank from overflowing with water (if the float valve does not work and turn off the cold water supply), a drain pipe from the top water level in the tank. It is displayed near the faucet in the sink. For visual control of the water level in the tank, I installed a water meter tube with extreme level marks: upper and lower.
When a certain volume of hot water is taken, the float valve opens and the tank is filled with cold water to the upper level, after which the valve closes and the cold water supply stops. When cold water enters, the temperature in the tank decreases, the heating element turns on and the water is heated to the set temperature.
To save energy consumption for heating water and reduce the rate of cooling of hot water, I carefully insulated the tank. wrapped it all over mineral wool, on top - fiberglass and tied. The cover is also insulated and made removable. Effective thermal insulation significantly reduces energy consumption.
Tank in the attic, heating tank and taps connected flexible hoses. cold water fed into the tank through a household water magnetizer. The efficiency of water treatment with a magnet depends on the speed of the water flow, the chemical composition of the water and the strength of the magnetic field. If scale appears on the walls of the tank, an additional magnetizer should be switched on in series.
Once a year, I remove the tank from the stand and clean it from the sludge that has settled to the bottom.
The tank and the cover of the electric heater must be grounded using an individual wire. Connect the ground wire to plumbing or gas pipes prohibited. Thanks to zeroing, any short circuit to the case turns into a short circuit, so the electric heater is immediately disconnected from the network. If the tank is not filled, it is impossible to turn on the heating element in the network, otherwise it will fail.
It should be noted that it is not necessary to use exactly those elements that are used in this design. Instead of a U-shaped heating element, you can use any other suitable in terms of power and dimensions; instead of the temperature sensor TN-164 and the magnetic starter PME-231, you can use any temperature control system, for example, a thyristor; the float valve can also be of a different design.
The described heater has been working properly for the sixth year.
