- In order to make a latch bolt, we will take a metal tube with a diameter of at least ten millimeters. We cut the tube into three parts with a grinder. The length of one of the cuts should be 10 centimeters, the other two - 5 centimeters.
- We horizontally weld a long section of the tube to the edge of the alignment, and one of the short ones to the edge of the opposite alignment, symmetrically long.
- We insert a latch into the cuts of the tube, the basis for which will perfectly serve as a T-shaped rod with a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the tube. We push the latch to the stop and put the last piece of the tube on its end, weld it.
- In order to securely fix the bolt, we fasten a piece metal plate under his arm.
Locks of this design are widely used for metal gate equipment.
- We weld a reinforcing bar to the upper part of the structure body, the diameter of which should be at least 15 millimeters. For this "finger" we will later start another curved rod, standing on the anchor rod, and thus close the bolt.
- In order to fix the anchor rod, it is necessary to weld a piece of tube of the appropriate diameter to the upper part of the structure body. Another cut should be fixed at the bottom of the case. Having installed the rod, we weld the bottom of the lower cut: as a result, the anchor will rotate freely in the tube, which serves as a stand for it.
- We make a cut in the anchor rod using a grinder. We insert a metal plate into the cut, which we fasten with a bolt. After that, we equip a hook on the alignment.
