Do-it-yourself drawing of a sofa in the kitchen
The blanks are ground and leveled, and only then they can be marked and sawn. The average length of the corner sofa is 120 by 90 cm, the corner insert is 45 by 45 cm, and the back height is 85.5 cm.
First, according to the drawings, the main parts of the sofa are made from the kitchen corner - these are the sidewalls. They are made from thick plywood. The marking is done with a pencil, and then the detail of the kitchen corner sofa is cut out along the lines with an electric jigsaw.
The next step is to make two frames for both sides of the sofa from 4 by 4 centimeters bars. Both frames should be in the form of parallelepipeds, which are then fixed on the sidewalls. The joints at the corners should look like a mustache and a spike, which are subsequently glued. The T and L form joints must be at a 90 degree angle.
Do-it-yourself drawing and assembly diagram of a kitchen sofa
At the corners, the joints can be with through holes or hidden, go to half the beam, and also be one, two, three spiked. They are fixed with dowels or corners with self-tapping screws.
The frame of the corner sofa for the kitchen is connected to the back and fixed on the sides. When the base is ready, you can assemble the folding seat covers. Seats can be solid or sectional.
Rectangular seat frames are made from a bar 2.5 by 2.5 centimeters thick. Then they are sewn up with centimeter plywood. The seats are cleaned and covered with a layer of stain and varnish. Then the foam rubber is glued, and the fabric is stuffed.
A piano loop is attached to the long part of the seats of the corner sofa. Hinged covers are fixed at the end of the work. The assembly of the corner module is carried out in a similar way. A frame is made from a bar 4 by 4 centimeters. The profile must have triangular shape and have sides at 45 and 90 degree angles. The module is covered with plywood.
The assembled two parts of the sofas and the corner module are sanded. Open wooden elements are opened with a stain and, accordingly, three layers of varnish on top. All details are put on the sofa legs and fastened together. The connection is made with screws to the frame support. There must be at least 8 legs.
Structural details are exposed while adjusting the height of the legs. Marks are made in the places of future fastening. Holes are drilled for bolts with a diameter of 0.8 centimeters. Bolts and washers to them should be with wide margins. The washer should be twice as many bolts, so that one goes under the bolt and the other under the nut.
Upholstery fabric depends on the location of the sofa from the stove and sink. The surface should be easy to clean and not exposed to chemicals.
For a small sofa, 5 cm foam rubber is suitable. For a semi-soft corner bigger size, the stuffing is taken from the synthetic winterizer. Foam rubber or synthetic winterizer is glued to the back with glue. The fabric is cut out according to patterns and nailed with a stapler from the back of the back, as well as at the junction of the back with the seat. The material is stretched and securely fixed at the corners. Then it is fixed around the entire perimeter.
Armrests are made from a bar 4 by 4 cm thick. Do not forget to make grooves with a depth of 2 - 3 cm. The width of this selection depends on the thickness of the wall side. The workpiece is trimmed with filler and upholstered with fabric. The armrests are covered with glue, inserted into the sidewalls and fixed with screws. Such a beautiful and uncomplicated sofa will last a long time, and its execution will require much less cost than when buying a finished one.

Replacement of foam rubber and upholstery on the sofa: before and after
Making a kitchen corner with your own hands is not too difficult. The main thing is to accurately cut out all the details, adhering to the dimensions indicated in the drawings. Even a slight deviation can lead to a distortion of the structure.
Soft kitchen sofas are the most popular pieces of furniture used for furnishing kitchen space or dining area. They are quite functional, while not taking up too much space, which is important for small spaces. In addition, the design of such a piece of furniture is quite simple, so anyone who knows how to hold a hammer, a screwdriver and a drill can make a sofa in the kitchen with their own hands. It is worth stopping at a simple but convenient option that will delight you and your guests.
A standard sofa should have a frame resting on legs; roller mechanisms can also be used. The design with folding seats gives access to niches that can be used as drawers. You need to be very careful when planning the size of the future sofa, since the dimensions should be commensurate with the place that it should take. It is necessary to make all measurements in advance and prepare a drawing for the manufacture of furniture.
If this is your first experiment in making furniture at home, then you should stop at the folding version, and not at the manufacture of the corner. The rectangular shape of a sofa with legs is much easier to make, and it is much more difficult to make a mistake in size calculations.
The frame can be made of timber, for this, pine rocks are better suited, which are fastened with screws. To avoid the formation of longitudinal cracks, it is worth placing fasteners at different levels. To make the structure as strong as possible, the bars should be screwed to the corners of the frames, which have a cubic shape.
Screws will act as fasteners, since they are most convenient to fix wooden structure. The bottom of the sofa, like the seat covers, is best made from plywood.
The standard set of furniture for arranging the dining area includes a table, a corner sofa and stools.

The profile should have a triangular shape and have sides at angles of 45 and 90 degrees.
For a semi-soft corner of a larger size, padding is taken from synthetic winterizer.
As one of the options for making a kitchen sofa with a folding mechanism, meralat is forward.
For production, ordinary furniture materials and tools will be required. We replace all missing elements with analogues if necessary.
We use 15 mm plywood. Optional 20 mm. If we consider a cheap inexpensive option, then we take chipboard, preferably at least 18 mm. But in the end, it can affect the life and quality of the product.
We assemble the plywood frame and wooden beam for wood screws.
We glue with foam rubber and synthetic winterizer. We insert the folding mechanism of the required width of the bed.
This is what the sofa will look like when unfolded.
The mattress is sold with the mechanism, but it will be cheaper to do it yourself. We select the density of foam rubber according to the desired softness and service life.
Fabric upholstery. In this case, velor is used. For simplicity, you can make joints in some places, and not with a solid cover, as in the photo.
Pillows for sitting are pasted over with padding polyester. The seat is made of blue and white foam rubber of different densities.
We try on how it will look in height and width. We select best option for myself. The standard seat height is 45 cm.
Cover the mattress with fabric. This is what the finished product looks like when unfolded. A mechanism with a width of 100 cm was used. The overall width of the sofa is about 125 cm.
The key to success in making furniture with your own hands
